About the Community of Blaine
A booming business and residential community, Blaine is one of the metro area's largest suburbs. Many appealing features contribute to Blaine's popularity, such as its range of diverse potential business development sites and a convenient location 11 miles outside of Minneapolis. Despite its rapid growth, Blaine still maintains its beautiful scenery through large woodlands and vast open areas. No longer a small rural community, this 34-square-mile city has become a viable business and residential area. With industrial parks, which include everything from light to heavy industries, one-third of the community still remains available for development. The community's largest employer is Bermo Inc., a contract metal stamper and plastic injection molding firm that employs aprroximately 560 people.
