About the Community of White Bear Lake
White Bear Lake lies on the northeastern fringe of the metro area. This city was the summer home of writer F. Scott Fitzgerald and Mark Twain wrote of the lake's beauty. Today, White Bear Lake offers a balance of modest, mid-priced and executive homes. White Bear Lake School District is on of the city's largest employers, as well as the White Bear auto dealers. Starting in spring and continuing every Thursday evening through early fall, the downtown area offers Marketfest, which includes music, farmers market, crafts, food vendors and family entertainment.
